How to Celebrate the First Day of Fall

September 21, 2016

Football, pumpkin spice everything, crisp mornings, and warm cozy sweaters.  Yep, our favorite time of the year is finally here.  It’s fall!  Fall brings so may fun activities and creates new, great memories.  Last fall we went to a corn maze and it was awesome!  They gave us a map and they had a bunch of little stops throughout the maze where you could earn coupons and deals to local restaurants and stores – it was great!  That being said, the first official day of fall is tomorrow, September 22nd, and we’re going to help you find the best way to spend it!  There are so many things to do in autumn that our list could probably go on forever, but we’ll try to keep it as short and sweet as we can.

  1. Go apple and pumpkin picking
  2. Make your way through a corn maze
  3. Decorate your front door or porch with a bunch of fall decor
  4. Go see the leaves change color
  5. Go on a hot air balloon ride if you’re feeling adventurous!
  6. Go for a hayride (you’ll typically find these at corn mazes)
  7. Go for a crisp morning hike
  8. Attend a local fall festival
  9. Go to the mountains or woods and rent a cabin or camp out
  10. Go tailgating at a football game
  11. Go to the farmers market and pick out some delicious in-season vegetables for dinner
  12. Bake a pumpkin or apple pie
