While it may be difficult thinking of something to buy your dad or husband for Father’s Day, thinking of family fun activities to do with dad is a breeze. There are so many activities that dads love to do with their family, but if you’re still unsure what to do this Father’s Day, here are some ideas he’ll be sure to like…
Fishing – If your dad loves to fish, surprise him with a day trip to the lake. Or if you live on the coast, you can reserve a deep sea charter fishing boat with a crew that will take you out on the sea with a strong chance you’ll come back with tons of fish. Either way, Dad will love this interactive family activity especially if fishing is one of his hobbies.
Go-Kart Racing – It doesn’t get much more fun than go-kart racing for Father’s Day! This activity is great for the whole family if the kids are old enough to participate. Your kids will love racing against Dad and Dad will love the competitive aspect of this family friendly activity.
Beach Day – Father’s Day means summer is practically here, which if you live on the coast, means beach days! If the weather is good, pack up your gear and head to the beach with Dad. Soak up the sun, cool off in the ocea,n and relax in the sand. Perfect activity to do with kids of any age.
Hiking – If your kids are older, this is a great Father’s Day weekend activity to do with Dad. Depending on where you live will determine what’s available to hike, but if you live in a hiking friendly area pack lunches and make this excursion a day trip. Or, take a short hike and get lunch afterwards. Exploring nature with Dad will be something he will definitely appreciate.
Camping – Along the same lines as hiking, if your dad is a nature enthusiast, why not celebrate the entire weekend by surprising Dad with a trip to his favorite camping spot? He’ll definitely enjoy getting away from it all, spending quality time with his family, and telling stories around the fire.
Brewery – Heading to a brewery for a family activity may not be at the top of your list, but let’s face it most dads love beer. And there are a ton of breweries that are family friendly with areas dedicated to kids with sandboxes, games, and even playsets. These days you’ll find a ton of families heading to breweries on the weekends for an activity and atmosphere that both adults and kids can enjoy.
