Exploring Kerns Neighborhood in Portland

One of our newest communities, Sandy28, will be opening soon in the thriving Kerns neighborhood in east Portland. Kerns is known for blending old Portland with new, and has a plethora of amazing places to eat, shop and drink. Let’s check out some of our favorite places to go in our new neighborhood!

Coffee

Check out Heart Roasters for eco friendly coffee. Considered one of the best coffee shops in the city, Heart focuses on coffee beans from Central & South America and Africa, and buying directly from farmers in the those areas. If you want to know exactly where your coffee comes from, you’ll want to check them out.

Beer

Head over to Migration Brewery for local beer and grub. This neighborhood spot is super popular not only for its delicious beer, but also plenty of pub food to go along with it.

Awesome Tortas

If you have a love for tortas you’ll definitely want to make a date to go to Guero for some of the best tortas in town. Plus, enjoy their tequila themed drink menu complete with a variety of margaritas you can’t beat.

Food & Wine

Speaking of dates, Angel Face is an ideal local spot for a romantic night of food and wine. It’s the simple pleasures when it comes to this small boutique kitchen and wine bar inspired by Le Petit Fer à Cheval in Paris.
