The Best Apps for Easy Holiday Shopping from Home

The time has come for holiday shopping.  If you’re anything like us, you dread going to the mall, being surrounded by hoards of people, and attempting to pick out items for your friends and family.  Well, there’s actually no need for that type of stress anymore!  Reach into your pocket, pull out your smartphone, and dive into the world of apps!  There are a ton of apps out there to help make this holiday season easier and more convenient – meaning you won’t even have to leave the comfort of your couch.

We’ve narrowed a huge list of apps down to a handful of our favorites.  We also included some websites that have cool and unusual tech gadgets and miscellaneous items!  So, without further ado, commence the shopping madness!

Clothing and Home Accessories:

Canopy has this awesome 3-step feature.  First, select who you’re shopping for (parent, brother, significant other, etc.).  Next , choose their personality type (adventurous, chic, intellectual, etc.).  Lastly, select their hobbies and interests (cooking, DIY-ing, reading, music, etc.).  From there, Canopy will curate a list of items that best match the description you selected – it’s seriously so great!  You can even find stuff for your pet!

Shopstyle is perfect if you’re shopping for that certain someone who is very chic.  All the clothing, shoes, and accessories are very trendy.  Although they are on the pricier side, they always have a sale on various items and you can typically find some great, well-priced products.  Their home accessories and decor are also to die for.

Spring offers many luxury brands often at half price or more.  With free shipping and returns, why would you want to shop anywhere else?!  They also have kids clothing and baby gear, as well as games, home accessories, tech gadgets, outdoor-wear, and stuff for pets!  They’re seriously a one-stop-shop.

Tictail is a step up from Etsy.  They have handmade artisan crafts and fashion from emerging designers across the globe – you probably won’t find any other store like this one!  Also, some of the art on their website is absolutely breathtaking.  This is a great site to visit if you have friends or family that love unique, artisanal items.

Gilt is not only packed with stylish clothing and accessories, but you can also get great deals on hotels and activities in various cities.  Their selection of kids clothing is incredible and their home decor and accessories options are tremendous!

Technology, Gadgets, and Miscellaneous: (These do not have apps but we just HAD to include them!)

Maker Shed  is absolute awesomeness!  It has a ton of DIY tech stuff that would be perfect for your friends and family who love to tinker.  From 3-D printers and printer parts, to DIY kits – they have such an assortment of random products!

When in doubt, go with Amazon.  We all know Amazon has some great deals on technology, as well as home accessories and clothing – they never fail to impress!  They do have an app to help make life easier for you.  Their app also does price comparisons which is pretty great if you ask us!
