An Apartment State Of Mind

Features and Amenities Apartment Hunters Really Want

October 20, 2016

We love infographics, especially when they make figuring out the top features and amenities an apartment hunter wants easy to do.  At Fairfield, we take into consideration all of the features that you find most desirable and we do our best to incorporate them into our current and future properties.  A home is much more than what’s inside the four walls of your apartment.

Parking  You’re driving home from a long, tiring day at work and all you want to do is pop open a bottle of wine, watch your favorite show on Netflix, and cuddle up with your furry four-legged best friend.  Oh, but wait…you’ve got to drive around the parking lot for 15 minutes waiting in frustration for someone to pull out of their spot so you can snatch it up.  Or even worse, you have to park half a mile down the street and walk home.

When apartment hunting, a renter’s number one priority is parking:

    • Will it be easy to find a spot to park?
    • Will my car stay safe and not be dinged or dented?
    • Will my guests be able to park somewhere?

These are all the questions running through a renter’s mind when looking for a place to live.  All Fairfield properties provide resident parking.  Some even have assigned parking, covered car ports, and fully enclosed garages.

Swimming Pool  Pools are a hot amenity.  Residents want to be able to socialize and meet others, and a swimming pool is perfect for the job.  What’s a better way to meet people than frolicking in a pool or lounging around on a deck chair while soaking up some vitamin D?  A pool naturally encourages socialization and interaction.  Not only are swimming pools a great place to relax and catch up with friends, but they’re also great for exercising.  So whether you’re swimming laps, doing water aerobics, or just splashing around, pools are never-ending fun for everyone.

High Speed Wi-Fi  I think it’s safe to say that we get extremely irritated when we either can’t connect to Wi-Fi or have a very poor signal.  We live in such a tech-y world and have become so dependent on our electronic devices that Wi-Fi is almost critical to our everyday lives, not only inside our home, but in the relaxing community areas like the pool, lounge and business center.

Walk in Closet  Who doesn’t love walk-in closets?!  NO ONE!  I’d be willing to bet that if you asked someone to choose between a walk-in and a reach-in closet, they would say walk-in 99.99% of the time!  They’re just so spacious, allow much more storage space, and they make it so much easier to see all your clothes.  Walk-ins provide a sense of privacy and they’re also a great place to store your valuable items.

Pet Friendly  I’m sure most of you can agree that finding a place to live can get pretty stressful.  Now throw in having to find a place that your furry four-legged family member can live as well; that’s where it become super stressful!  Our pets become such an important part of our lives and the majority of us consider them family and can’t imagine life without them.  At Fairfield, we understand how important pets are to our lives, which is why we’re pet friendly (AND puppy/kitten friendly!).
