An Apartment State Of Mind

These days it’s becoming more and more common for couples to do adventurous activities together. The days of girls hanging with the girls while the guys get down and dirty with extreme sports is becoming less and less common. Now, couples are doing those very extreme sports together and making a lifestyle out of it. Whether you’re naturally inclined for adventure, or just want to try something new, here are 5 activities that are perfect for the more sporty couples.
Rock climbing – Rock climbing has become so popular that you don’t even need a mountain to do it anymore. Couples can head to a nearby rock climbing gym to climb together during most of the year. Once the weather gets better, this is a great opportunity to take a weekend trip to the mountains and do it out in nature.
Mountain Biking – One of the ultimate workout highs, mountain biking is made for couples that love adventure. You’re in the mountains, riding down trails quickly, the ideal workout for any adrenaline junkie. While it may not look that hard to do, mountain biking can be very dangerous for those that don’t have a lot of experience. Start training together and you’ll soon get addicted. Bring lunch and make a day out of this workout.
Surfing – Many of our communities here at Fairfield are located near some of the best surf spots in California. It’s no wonder that surfing together is becoming more and more popular for couples on the coast. Not only do you get to enjoy the local waves together, but you can spend the day lounging at the beach in between sets.
Skiing and Snow Boarding – Depending on where you’re located in the US, snow boarding trips are all the rage during the winter. Even better if your better half loves to board as much as you do. Spend the day on the slopes and then head back to the cabin to relax in the hot tub. It doesn’t get much better than that!
Hiking – For couples that love the outdoors, but who aren’t inclined for more extreme activities, hiking is the perfect middle ground. And it can be a great workout depending on where you hike. You can even take it to the next level by going on a backpacking trip together, which definitely airs more on the adventurous side.
