Memorial Day Weekend is upon us and you know what that means…grilling! One of our favorite American pastimes for summer, there’s nothing better than grill season. If you want to take it up a notch from hot dogs and hamburgers, there are so many options to do instead. Impress your guests this Memorial Day with some unique takes on grilling in 2019.
Honey-Glazed Baby Back Ribs with Whiskey Marinade – Oh boy, you can’t beat this recipe with a glaze of soy sauce, whiskey and honey. For tender ribs it’s recommended to roast for 2 to 3 hours over a low fire. Even though beer is often the go-to drink of choice for Memorial Day, Food & Wine suggests that a dry, crisp Rosé pairs well with these ribs.
Grilled Oysters with Spiced Tequila Butter – Want to really impress your guests? Oysters with tequila butter seems like the obvious choice. Top that with a hint of sage, oregano and lemon, these oysters will be a party favorite.
Soy-Basted Chicken Kebabs with Sesame-Citrus Sprinkle – Guests love kebabs because they’re easy to eat and super yummy. Take it the next level with these flavor-filled kebabs that are so much more than usual kebab BBQ. With flavors of brown sugar, soy sauce, and vinegar, there’s no doubt these will be a hit.
Grilled Corn with Aleppo-Pepper Aioli – You don’t need meat to make a huge impact of BBQ flavor. Yummy corn will do the trick! This sweet, yet spicy flavor takes corn to the next level. And let’s face it, anything with aioli (a creamy garlic sauce) is a crowd favorite.
Grilled Chicken Street Tacos – Street tacos are the best and they’re so simple to grill up. Always a crowd pleaser, these are the perfect choice if you’re looking for a simple meal that’s still different than the usual hot dog and hamburger menu. Really, who doesn’t like tacos?!
