How to have the ultimate cozy Sunday

With the cold weather upon us, ultimate coziness is near the top of our priorities list – there is no better day to be lazy and cozy than a snowy, windy Sunday!  We don’t know how else anyone would want to spend their lazy Sunday other than cuddling up in 3 blankets, 5 pillows, and maybe a dog or two while sipping hot chocolate and eating cookies – uhh… can you say perfection?!  We are going to show you how to have the ultimate cozy Sunday!  Sit back, relax, and cozy up while we give you the lowdown on ultimate coziness.

First of all, fairy lights are a must!  Lighting does a great job of setting the mood, so soft, dim lighting is crucial!  Fairy lights emit dim lighting that is soothing but still provides enough brightness to illuminate the room.  Oh, and if you’re lucky enough to have a fireplace, light that too!

The room also needs to smell great!  Oil warmers and diffusers are great for this job.  We love this essential oil diffuser from Art Naturals.  Essential oils are our favorite because they provide a natural way to add fragrance to a room without having to light a candle!

Something to eat and snack on is also totally necessary!  A cup of coffee, hot chocolate, or apple cider and a batch of fresh-out-of-the-oven cookies will do just the job!  Or try a chocolate chip skillet cookie – they’re the best, especially with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top!  YUM!

Blankets and pillows are obviously a given!  Break out all the blankets and pillows you can find and make a cozy little nest.  Or, step it up a notch and make an awesome blanket fort!  Have you heard of the new giant knit blankets?  They’re all over social media and, believe it or not, you can make them yourself!  You can arm knit a blanket in just 45 minutes – how awesome!

Your laptop and some quality Netflix shows or your favorite movie is the final step to your perfect lazy Sunday.  Whether you’re a FRIENDS addict or you have an undying love for original Disney movies, your ultimate cozy, lazy Sunday wouldn’t be complete without your favorite shows and movies!  Or, instead of watching a movie, you could also crack open your favorite book and have a cozy reading session!
