An Apartment State Of Mind
October 7, 2020
In 2020 we’ll all have one more accessory to all of our costumes: the cloth mask. To be safe, the CDC recommends wearing a cloth mask for all Halloween activities. Here’s how to incorporate a mask into your costume this year!
Costumes that already use cloth masks – One of the easiest ways to incorporate a mask is to dress in a costume that includes a cloth mask. Think doctor, nurse, ninja, bandit or even a ghost.
Replace costume makeup with masks – Instead of wearing costume makeup, you can become a different character thanks to the many masks offered by Disney. If you’re looking for something more scary check out Hot Topic for mask vampire fangs, Darth Vader, and Marvel Venom masks, plus many more.
Bejewel your mask – Spruce up your own masks with sequins or sew on jewels. Head over to Michael’s or your local craft store to find plenty of accessories to make your mask more glam.
Mask safety – Most important is to still regard your mask as a way to stay safe this Halloween. In that case the CDC does not recommend wearing a Halloween mask over a cloth mask or wearing just a traditional costume mask for safety reasons. Details below from the CDC:
All in all this year shouldn’t be too different when it comes to your Halloween costume. Have fun and be safe!
