Fairfield Earth Day 2021

Earth Day is celebrated on April 22 every year to raise awareness about environmental issues and showcase ways to support the environment. At Fairfield, not only have we continuously worked to make our corporate office more eco-friendly, we implemented a Living Green program at our properties across the nation to make it easy for our residents to contribute to sustainability. This past year we’ve been helping the environment in unconventional ways due to the pandemic, but they’re still notable in our book. Here are just a few ways we’ve been doing our part.

Living Green Program

Over 200 Fairfield apartment communities nationwide offer sustainable, low-impact, green living opportunities like using green cleaning products in our common areas, offering low- or no-VOC paint options and implementing more paperless systems. Digital Screens

Implementing digital screens in our leasing offices was a high-priority initiative to help reach our goal of increasing our use of technology while significantly cutting back on printing and paper usage at all of our properties. We can now send new updates and content to the screen in seconds to keep residents and prospects informed!

Reusable Collateral

We provide reusable collateral to our properties and team members such as mugs, water bottles, straws, and more to reduce the amount of waste created onsite and at the corporate level. Not only do our associates use these reusable items, but we also have them made to give out to residents and prospects.

Clothing Drives

Some of our properties organize clothing drives that their associates and residents can donate to. These clothing drives contribute to sustainability and allow for multiple uses of clothing instead of creating more waste.

Working from Home

Working from home has caused many of our associates to swap their commute to work for a walk to their desk. This has decreased the amount of vehicle emissions in the air and helped to decrease pollution.
