Best Stores for Home Decor on a Budget

August 31, 2016

I think most of us can agree that decorating the interior of your home can become quite pricey.  Frames, wall decor, pillows, throws, paintings – the list could go on and on!  It adds up quickly and suddenly your shopping cart has $800 worth of home decor items!  Luckily, there’s a handful of stores out there that aren’t so tough on your bank account.  We’ve compiled a short list of 5 stores that we think have some of the best deals and steals you can find!  Happy decorating!

H&M Home

Who would’ve guessed that H&M would have a “home” section?!  They carry everything from pillows, to vases, to vintage wooden storage crates.  You can sort their options by category and, to be more specific, you can choose items by what mood or style you’re feeling.  For all you earth-conscious shoppers out there, they offer a section labeled “conscious-sustainable style”.  If you’re an H&M fanatic, you’ll love all the home decor options they offer!

Target

Ahh, the one and only, Target (otherwise known as Tar-jay)!  They literally have it all – totally a one stop shop!  They carry some really beautiful and affordable wall decor, rugs, picture frames, and home accents.  They also conveniently have categories for various styles that you may be into, such as industrial, romantic, or modern – perfect for every shopper!

Overstock.com

Seriously one of the best home decor sites out there!  Not all their stuff is extremely affordable, however… I’ve got a little trick up my sleeve that I’m going to share with you all that will absolutely blow your minds!  To find the cheapest stuff on Overstock, type “as is” in the search bar and a ton of items will pop up that have been extremely discounted!  The reason all these items are so cheap is because they were returned due to blemishes or other issues.  So if you’re not picky and can handle a little imperfection – this is totally worth a shot!  Bear in mind that “as is” items can’t be returned.

eBay

That’s right, eBay!  I think eBay would be the last place I would think of to buy my home decor, but they actually have some quality items on the cheap!  You may have to do some digging before you find items that you really like because, lets be honest, most of the stuff on there is fairly cheesy – just be patient!  They also offer some helpful tips, such as How to Clean a Handmade Rug.

Hobby Lobby

Hobby Lobby has everything you could ever desire when it comes to home decor.  On their website, they allow you to shop “by room”, “by category”, and you can shop from the top trending items!  To make everything even better, they always have savings-filled sales going on – can’t beat that!  Plus, dig into their crafting tips to make your life a little easier.
