Best Shops for Cozy Coats

We’re in the midst of coat season and a comfy coat is an absolute necessity. Where you live and the weather will dictate which type of coat will be the best fit. So without further adieu, we’re covering the must-haves for the season that will keep you not only stylish, but super comfy and warm.

Waterproof Jacket – This is a must to keep you comfy and warm if you live in an area that’s prone to rain like the Pacific Northwest. The last thing you’ll want is rain to soak through. Check out The North Face for a variety of rain jackets.

Plaid Coat – You can’t get much more comfy than a soft knitted plaid coat that feels like a robe. We’re in love with this one from Zara.

Parka – Perfect for uber cold weather, a parka is usually a longer coat that comes down to your knees to keep you warm and insulated. Super comfy, but probably a little overkill for chilly weather. You’ll want to break this one out for those winter storms or if you live in the mid west or north east. One of our favorites is Patagonia’s City Storm Parka.

Faux Fur Coat – If you like dressing things up, but still want to be warm and comfy, there’s nothing like a fluffy faux fur coat. They come in a variety of colors and textures, but we’re loving this Faux Fur Wrap Coat from Zara, the shorter Frankie Fur Coat from Free People and if you’re on a budget this light gray Faux Fur Jacket from H&M.

Trench Coat – Light weight, yet long, a signature trench coat is great for chilly days in the city. If you want the traditional camel colored trench coat, try this one from Banana Republic or for something more dressy, try this gorgeous Bryant Velvet Trench Coat in black.
