To celebrate the opening of one of our newest properties, Platform Apartments in Atlanta, we wanted to share some of our favorite breakfast spots in Atlanta. There’s certainly no shortage of amazing, unique and absolutely delicious places to get a traditional or non-traditional breakfast or brunch.
Read on for the best local breakfast spots and if you’d like to learn more about the Platform community and location in Atlanta, check out our blog post, Life Unbounded at Platform Apartments.
Muchacho – It might be the only taco/coffee shop in Atlanta. This all-day cafe features a retro west coast vibe, plus beer and wine in addition to their small menu. You may want to try the salmon toast for breakfast or their Summer Travels drink, a combo of Coca-Cola, espresso, and lime to start off your day.
Proof Bake Shop – Breakfast is served all day at Proof, a perfect destination for brekky fanatics. Enjoy breakfast items like their ham & gruyere melt or smoked salmon bagel in addition to their seasonal pastries. They have lunch items too, just in case you’re not in the mood for breakfast.
Ria’s Bluebird – All day brunch seems to be a running theme in Atlanta and we can’t argue with that! Especially when you can devour items like shrimp & grits and buttermilk pancakes as an afternoon snack. Open until 3 pm, Ria’s is the perfect option for those that like to sleep in.
The General Muir – If you’re looking for a traditional New York-style Jewish deli in Atlanta, look no further. The General Muir to your rescue with traditional tasty items such as open-faced bagels and smoked salmon over latkes. Plus if you’re craving something sweet try the pecan crusted french toast…yes, please!
Rising Son – Love biscuits? Then you’re going to want to make your way over to Rising Son in Avondale named after the iconic song, The House of the Rising Sun by the Animals. They have a full brunch menu on the weekends and a breakfast menu Tuesday through Friday. We’re getting hungry just thinking about it.
Home grown – If you’re looking for a low key breakfast joint with a traditional menu serving things like eggs n’ bacon, pancakes, grits and biscuits & gravy, this is your spot.
Bread & Butterfly – However if you like to take things up a notch and prefer things a bit on the fancy side, you’ll want to head to Bread & Butterfly for a French-style brunch. We don’t know where else you’ll find blueberry cobbler on the menu for brunch, or tomato puff pastry soup. Actually, everything on this menu sounds divine. Yum!
