An Apartment State Of Mind
June 8, 2017
The famous location of one of our newest properties, L Seven, has a rich history of art, independent music, and underground clubs. Today, art and music are still incredibly important to the culture and residents of SoMa San Francisco.
Luckily our location is extremely close – we’re talking walking distance – to some amazing art and nightlife sure to make your head spin with glee. Check out our favorites, plus ideal spots to grab a beer, coffee, creative cuisine and delicious sandwiches pre-dusk.
Without further adieu…
Food & Drink
Sightless Coffee – Get a perky start to your morning (or evening) with a hot cup of joe from Sightglass Coffee.
Cellarmarker Brewing Co. – Just steps away from L Seven you can enjoy a variety of brews, everything from Higher Love Pale Ale to Imperial Coffee & Cigarettes Stout to Orange Julian IPA. Bring friends.
Rye Project – If you work in SoMa, you might want to stop in to get a delicious sandwich, salad, or heck, even a Chicago-style hot dog. Or…a lox and bagel? Ok, we’re officially hungry. Open weekdays only.
Dirty Water – In the mood for artsy food? Head over to Dirty Water for a sensuous dining experience. Enjoy a Dirty Burger or Twice Braised Ox Tail in their dimly lit, dare we say it, sexy dining spaces.
Art
Arc Gallery – Art and SoMa go hand in hand. Check out local gallery, Arc, during their exhibitions for a truly artistic SoMa experience.
SOMARTS – Founded in 1979, this gallery features not only exhibitions but also classes, programs, and other events for art fans.
Nightlife
1015 Folsom – Deep beats, synth pop, hip hop, electronica galore…well, you get the idea. It’s time to dance the night away when you enter 1015.
Stud – Celebrating over 50 years on the SoMa scene with drag shows, burlesque and of course, killer cocktails. Open daily, plus enjoy their festive happy hour.
Odd Job – Take a load off after work in this crafty saloon that make you feel like you’re either a vintage speakeasy or the old west. Slip into their standing only bar, Sro, which fits only 16 people at a time. You’ll feel super special with a handcrafted cocktail catered to your taste buds.
DNA Lounge – Dance, dance, dance…DNA is the place to be for theme nights to get your booty on the dance floor. 80s, 90s, retro wave, galactic funk, neon lights, and glow in the dark gear in abundance. 18+.
The best part? At L Seven, you can easily reach your SoMa destination within minutes. Chow down, stare at beautiful art, enjoy a cocktail and dance. At the end of the night, take a quick stroll home to rest your head in your cozy apartment home.
