An Apartment State Of Mind
September 17, 2017
The first day of fall is right around the corner, which means cooler temperatures, beautiful leaves, and some of our favorite holidays. Now is the time to get comfy at home with some yummy food and fun activities to do with the kids. Even though we love the warm months of summer, we always welcome the more chilly months of fall because it’s the start of the season that brings family together at home.
There’s definitely no shortage of autumn activities to partake in, but here are some of our favorites that are easy on the pocket book and definitely signal a change of seasons.
Whether it’s an apple, pecan or pumpkin, there’s no other dessert that’s as quintessentially autumn as pie. Your family and neighbors will thank you!
Now that it’s chilly, it’s the perfect excuse to get back into a hot tea routine. We love having a tea first thing in the morning during autumn.
Yes, you can finally wear that coat you’ve been eyeing all summer. While we love warm weather, we love the first day of fall even more! It’s always fun to unpack your coats from the back of the closet. A whole new wardrobe!
Seems like there’s no better way to end the day than to enjoy a fire once the temperature drops.
‘Tis the season to go apple picking. This is one activity that the kids will love. Plus you can make a pie with your pickings!
Speaking of kids, this fall activity will make you feel like a kid again.
Get cozy in the house and set up a craft table to make art out of gorgeous fallen leaves. Here are some ideas to do with the kids.
You can light candles any time of the year, but there’s something special about candles once the weather gets chilly. They’ll make your house homey, plus you can select candles with lovely autumn scents.
You know it’s fall when you begin to see pumpkin flavored foods everywhere you go. No reason not to create our own pumpkin goodies at home!
