6 of Our Favorite Summer Day Trips

July 27, 2017

Summer is the best time to get out and explore. You don’t have to travel far to find some amazing places nearby. If you can’t spare a vacation or even a weekend getaway, a day trip is the next best thing. Plus you get to come home to your comfy bed at the end of the day!

Here are six of our favorite day trips to check out this summer.
Bellingham, WA – If you live in Seattle, you’ll want to check out this precious town about 100 miles north. Bellingham is the northernmost city in the contiguous United States. It’s a college town with breweries, but also has great shopping downtown, a farmer’s market on Saturday, hikes, scenic drives and the unique Historic Fairhaven District.
Boulder, CO – Just a short drive for our residents in Denver and Lafayette, CO, Boulder, is a great city to visit thanks to its 300 sunny days a year, plentiful outdoor activities and its reputation of being an amazing foodie town.
Cambridge, MA – For our residents just outside of Boston at Mave and Talia Apartments, Cambridge is a unique getaway. The home of Harvard, this preppy college town has amazing people watching, adorable neighborhoods, good food and the famous Harvard Book Store, the best place to find new and used books.
Talulah Falls, GA – For our residents right smack in the happening city of Atlanta, Tallulah Falls is a breathtaking escape into nature. You can hike into the gorge or even camp in one of the 50 available camp sites. The state park also features a small town with some shopping and restaurants for after you get your nature fix.
Napa, CA – Most people have heard of the breathtaking wine country in Napa. A great day trip for our residents in San Francisco and Sacramento. Enjoy the best wines in the country while witnessing incredible northern California scenery.
Santa Barbara, CA – For our residents at Avaire Apartments in Los Angeles, you may have to get on the road early to make a full day out of heading north to Santa Barbara, but it’s well worth it. One of the most picturesque towns on the border of southern California, this utopia offers incredible shopping, food and beaches.
