Like most of us, you may love your kitty, but the last thing you want to deal with is the litter box. Unfortunately, when it comes to having an indoor cat there’s no way to get around this necessity. Luckily, there are plenty of ways to hide it.
No matter where you litter box is located, the best way to make sure it doesn’t encroach on your life at home, your roommates or you guests is to keep it clean daily. A smelly litter box is super unpleasant, and cat odors can unfortunately end up taking over your apartment if you don’t keep on top of them. The best way to go about it is to empty the litter in the morning and evening. Not only will you and your guests appreciate not smelling it, but your cat will appreciate it too. Cats are by nature very clean animals and the last thing they want to do is step over portions of an overly used litter box. In fact, this is also a reason that some cats decide to go outside of the litter box to relieve themselves. Do yourself and your cat a favor by emptying it and make sure there is fresh clean smelling litter.
Now where to keep it? If you have room in your bathroom, this is the ideal place to have the litter box. It’s away from the living areas and depending on how your bathroom is set up, you may be able to put it under the sink. Another place to hide the litter is your closet if you have room.
