When we think of St.Patty’s Day, green beer, corn beef and cabbage, and of course Leprechauns are what usually comes to mind. The original purpose of the holiday was to celebrate the life of Saint Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland. However, over the centuries the day has become a celebration of Irish culture not just in Ireland, but all over the world. And of course, here in the U.S. is no exception…we love St. Patty’s Day!
You definitely don’t have to drink green beer to celebrate this holiday. In fact, we think you’ll enjoy these savory and sweet treats much better. If you have kids, these recipes are ideal to make with your little ones to celebrate.
